Nora's after-visit recap
Late and Moderate Preterm Babies (LAMBs) Clinic — UW IHDD
Visit: July 21, 2026 · Next visit around October 4, 2026
All visits →The big picture
Nora had a strong visit. She is rolling, reaching, and babbling — right on track for her corrected age of about 6 months. Our focus now: sitting practice, starting solid foods, and lots of back-and-forth 'conversations'.
Set up & appointments
Time-sensitive to-dos — do these first.
Start solid foods
Begin with smooth single foods once a day — iron-fortified cereal, pureed meats, or vegetables; there's no required order. Let her get messy — that's learning too.
Practice at home
- ★
Practice sitting every day
Sit Nora on the floor between your legs with toys in front. A few minutes, several times a day — wobbling is how she learns.
- ★
Jot down changes in feeding, sleep, movement, and sounds
Use the Notes section here whenever you notice something new or something that worries you. It will be ready at the next visit.
Instructions from your specialists
Dr. Riley Osei
Nora's skills match her corrected age of about 6 months.
- Keep using her corrected age when you read about milestones.
- Expect sitting with less support and more babbling by the next visit.
Behaviors to watch for
- Strongly favoring one hand or one side of her body
- Losing a skill she used to have
