1. About the service

Between Visits is a trade name of Peter Bittner Enterprises LLC (5413 Orca Dr NE, Tacoma, WA 98422). It is an early-stage pilot application that supports families in pediatric developmental follow-up between clinic visits: plain-language visit recaps behind a secure link, and a small number of text-message check-ins. No real patient information is used at this stage; the example families shown on this site are illustrative. By using the site or the text-message program you agree to these terms.

2. Not medical advice; not for urgent concerns

Between Visits carries information prepared by a child's own care team; it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and nothing on this site is a substitute for professional medical judgment. The service is not monitored in real time and is not for urgent medical concerns. If you are worried about a child's health, call the clinic; in an emergency call 911.

3. Acceptable use

Please do not: enter real patient information into the demonstration environment; attempt to access accounts, links, or data that are not yours; probe or disrupt the service; or use it to send unlawful, harmful, or deceptive content. Demonstration dashboards are provided for evaluation; we may reset demonstration data at any time.

4. Text-message program terms

1. Program description. Between Visits sends text messages to enrolled caregivers containing a secure link to their child's care plan summary and short structured check-in questions (answered by replying with a number). This is an early-stage pilot; no real patient information is used at this stage, and messages are sent only to people who have opted in and confirmed their own mobile number.
2. Consent. You receive messages only after opting in — on our website, by texting JOIN, or in person. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving care.
3. Message frequency. About seven messages per family over the months between clinic visits, plus responses to messages you send us.
4. Cost. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Between Visits does not charge for messages.
5. Opting out. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for assistance. You can also reach us via the contact form.
6. Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Privacy. See our Privacy Policy. Mobile numbers and opt-in data are never shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Intellectual property

The Between Visits name, design, and software are owned by the project. Clinical guidance shown to a family belongs to the care relationship it came from. You may not copy or reuse the site or its content for a competing service without permission.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" during this pilot stage, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Between Visits and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the pilot evolves; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after a change means acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes to the text-message program terms will be communicated before they take effect.
